You have been warned - according to actor John Cusack and director Roland Emmerich, the world is coming to an end.

An ancient prophecy predicts a cataclysmic event - D-day, 21/12/2012. And if there's one kind of day that Emmerich enjoys, it's a D-day.

He is the man behind the films Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow, and now he's back with a new one - 2012.

German-born Emmerich is no stranger to disaster - in fact, he seems to relish the idea of global mayhem and destruction, and he's not afraid to show it all on the big screen.

With lots of visual affects, and a tonne of CGI, in 2012 the world is quite literally disintegrating from under our feet.

I am very interested in the Coming of my Lord and Saviour which takes place at the end of the world. However I do not wish to frighten people into panick worship of God because of the end of the world. People should live righteous lives whether the world comes to an end or not. The world does not end because God wants it to be so but because He allows it as the outcome of our selfish activities on this planet. Scientists have warned and suggested measures to delay the coming of consequenses.
