Police have found a four-year-old boy who had been missing since last night in Porirua.
Bruce Anaru Mackintosh, 4, was last seen in Esk Place, Cannons Creek, Porirua, wearing black tracksuit pants with two white stripes down the sides and blue Spiderman socks.
Commander Inspector John Price said police were hoping to find the young boy before nightfall because of the harsh cold.
They were searching the area between Calliope and Castor Crescents and found the boy in the neighbouring suburb of Tawa.
"I want to thank the Porirua community and the media for the help they have given in finding Bruce,” said Mr Price. “His parents are extremely grateful and relieved.”
Police have not said at what address Bruce was found.
