A magnitude-6.7 earthquake has shaken northern Chile but authorities say there are no reports of injuries or damage.
The US Geological Survey says Wednesday's quake at 4:15pm (local time) was centred 44 kilometres north of Vallenar.
The quake shook Chile's capital of Santiago, causing office buildings to sway.
