we'll i believe and know that it is very hard to loose thirteen family member especially all at once.. but i know that it won't be that hard if we keep on praying... i believe and know that the reason why God didn't take all of you is because he wanted you the family members who are left and are still alive to do better things in the future and that he had a plan for you in the future.. but i will keep on praying so that you people won't feel no comfortable even if you poeple lost over ten famil;y members...
but to let you know, my great grand father is taufua leifi sio and my great grndmother is matala taufua and i am related to them.... my grnadmother whose mother is matala my greatgandmother, her name is shirley which ia m name after... but thank God that he didn't take most of us during the tsunami event that just happened during 29 of September in 2009.. and i myself feel very sad about that... and that is all i will like to say and may God be with you and have a great and happy year

My condolences to the Taufua Family. Having to lose 13 family members is like losing your own life. I haven't known you guys for a month but being with you at the Family Reunion made me feel like we've known each other for a long time. It is sad to see how much nature can do to separate families. I feel sad knowing that nothing will be the same again. Christmas 2007 was the year I came to the village and family and I can't describe how delightful and happy you guys were when being together. Now all of that is gone in knowing some lives have been lost. Your family is one big extended family and I feel sorry for those who passed away. May the Lord be with you always and may those who died find a place in heaven.

Rosalia you're incredibly brave and so lucky to be alive. what a sad sad story. 13 people died from one family is just unbelievable. how does one go on after that? there is a will in all of us to survive, to keep moving forward despite such huge unimaginable losses. But losing 13 people is just too much..it must feel so overwhelmingly painful. Tai I feel your pain with your missing kids. And your poor brother Etimani and his three kids. Instant losses brings eternal grief! they are your kids and for a parent to lose them all at once - the sheer pain of it all, I'm floored to think how you're all coping. And grandpa Taufua the anchor of your family ..and so many names my mind finds it impossible to believe so many perished from our village alone.. Talofa se i lo outou puapuaga..o tatou puapuaga foi ia. O tatou e toto ivi ma aano lo tatou piitaga. E le o galo lo outou mafatia i talosaga. Tagi le fatu ma le eleele ... cry cry for my beloved land ... heading home to help rebuild :(:(:(
