I too have been battling a NZ Master Franchisee in a services industry and been bullied into settling and keeping my mouth shut to avoid them "upping the anti" and threatening me with bankruptcy. What is sad, is our legal system allows those with money to burn to do this.
The franchise system and business itself is great. The greed and power game, making money, through force and threats, is not. I would love to tell my story of bullying frachise masters and their ridiculous contract clauses, to anyone who would listen, it would make your hair stand on end!
