All of the Academy Awards nominees are winners when it comes to the Oscar goodie bags.
All non-winning Oscar Nominees, in the Best Actor/Actress, Best Supporting Actor/Actress and Best Director categories, will receive a consolation Oscar gift basket from Distinctive Assets which will include a variety of fabulous gifts valued at over US$85,000.
"…One of the things I'm really excited about is the bag itself that it goes in.” said Lash Fary, founder of Distinctive Assets.
“So, over the years we have always prided ourselves with putting our gifts in luggage. This year we don't have just any luggage, we have a piece of luggage from Victorinox Travel Gear. They are the folks who created the original Swiss Army Knife. There is only 125 of these leather travel bags ever made. It is for the 125th anniversary. We got them to give us just enough for the Oscar nominees this year. Inside this US$4000 bag they are going to get all sorts of goodies. We got the Oral-B Pulsonic. It is their latest, greatest, sleekest, lightest way to rechargeable electric tooth brush. We got for the pet lovers, because there is a lot of pet lovers. Specifically, the cat lovers. We have Penelope Cruz, Sandra Bullock and the co-host Alec Baldwin, all love cats. What Fancy Feast put together was what they called, 'Celebrate the moment gift set.' So it's a US$450 package."
All of the bags were delivered the day after the ceremony to each individual nominee and included in the gifts are four decadent travel getaways which will be perfect for the nominees who have hit every major red carpet since January.
"Trips, so a lot of these folks get to travel for work but we found for them some really cool trips," said Mr Fary.
"One is in Litchfield Hills in Connecticut, it is the Windermere luxury resort. It is rustic luxury. I just went a few months ago and loved it. They are kind of feeling a little more 'cote d'Azur, we got the Monte Carlo Beach Hotel for them and a all inclusive US$17,000 vacation in the principality of Monaco."
