ACC has just announced a series of changes to its organisational structure, involving some job losses.

Chief Executive Dr Jan White says the new structure will enable ACC to operate in a more business-like way and drive improved performance.

The changes mostly affect the corporation's executive team, which means some roles have been disestablished – while new ones have been created.

Dr White says a consultation process was undertaken with affected staff.

And they will vote again Aron, and I see some big hurdles for them to overcome.

The anger of low-middle income New Zealand as they allow the rich to get richer and kick us all in the nads with increased GST, increased levies, even though they have made abundant cuts in costs across every state service being just a couple of those hurdles.

Not only did they save money, but they contributed fairly well to our unemployment statistics as well (how many state employees ended up in the dole queues I wonder).

I may have voted them in expecting a change, but all they have done to date is pull the same old tired National party policies that hurt everyone except the wealthy (aka National Party contributers).

Remember the tax cuts that got promised but never delivered, thats one that some of us still remember.

ACC isnt what was promised, I wouldnt be suprised to see a legal challenge against the government petitioning for the right to sue for fair compensation for normal damages (i.e pain and suffering) as well as the system that is already there allowing for law suites that claim for exemplary damages.

Remember that wealthy people only pay ACC levies on the first $130,000 of their income.. the rest is levy free.

Someone like John Key is paying ACC levies on one third of his income, someone on minimum wage is paying ACC levies on 100 percent of their income so which is going to hurt the most.. definitely low-middle income New Zealand.

What a shitty state of affairs. They increase our levies, they fire off staff and will eventually handover ACC to a private bidder. Its going to get worse for the people of NZ before we get rid of this govt.
