Girls Actor Adam Driver refuses to watch his hit TV show Girls because he can only focus on his "mistakes" when he tunes in.
Driver has become one of the HBO comedy's break-out characters, playing a sex-obsessed actor, but he insists he is his own worst critic when he sees himself onscreen.
He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "I watched the pilot a couple (of) months after we shot it and I learned my lesson. Watching it, I kept noticing things I wanted to change; I just saw the mistakes. I got in my head a little bit. It's never really bothered me not knowing, since I still remember it. A lot of it is scripted, so I know what people are talking about."
The sitcom has received much attention for its outrageous sex scenes but Driver admits he initially felt strange stripping off to shoot naked romps with the show's writer and lead actress Lena Dunham.
He adds, "I'd have to be an alien not to be (awkward), but Lena is so comfortable in her body. She really set the tone very early, so she made those scenes comfortable. After a while, after we were so intimate with each other, it felt natural. At the end, people had to remind us to put clothes on, because we were so used to it."
