Soul superstar Adele has pipped singer Jason Mraz to the top of the UK albums chart after scoring her 23rd non-consecutive week at number one with her hit release 21.
The singer's impressive feat means she's now notched up a total of 24 weeks in pole position throughout her career - one week with her debut album 19 and 23 with her sophomore disc - overtaking Eminem's career best of 23 weeks.
Mraz's Love Is A Four Letter Word, which led a promising charge for first place earlier in the week, entered at two, while rapper Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded fell to three and Lana Del Rey climbed two spots to fourth position with Born To Die.
Jessie J rounded out the top five with Who You Are.
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber's protegee Carly Rae Jepsen remains at number one on the UK singles chart with ‘Call Me Maybe’ for a third week in a row, with ‘Can't Say No’ by Conor Maynard debuting at two.
