Aid agencies disappointed with G8

Aid agencies say they're disappointed over the failure of the G8 to commit significant amounts of new money to fight poverty.

Dennis McKinlay, UNICEF's executive director, has just returned from Chad - one of the poorest countries in the world - where he saw first hand the poverty in the region.

The agency has set up 350 health clinics in the country, with an extra 100 to be erected in the coming months.

Staff at the clinics assess children and help where they can, or refer them to a hospital.
