The Super 14 kicks off tonight with a repeat of the first ever Super game - the Blues against the Hurricanes, played in Palmerston North. The 'Canes lost, and the Blues went on to win the first ever Super 12 competition.

Tonight, the same two teams, at North Harbour stadium - but the Blues are without their star lock, 61-star test veteran Ali Williams.

As you know, having just recovered from an Achilles injury, Ali got an Achilles injury - terrible luck.

Ali joins Campbell Live for a chat.

I used to enjoy Campbell Live. However, last night's clip about some footballer or the other was audience insulting - as Campbell has tended to become (too often) in recent times. Does he have to speak through his laughter so we oldies cannot understand and feel threatened by his mouthful of teeth? Does he have to swear? Does he have to reduce himself to a level not acceptable by so many indicating that, perhaps, he's tired of the job? Simply past it. No No No. I won't be watching him in future - nor will I watch TVONE. I will read - much less irritating and far more informative. At least, while reading, I don't have to suffer a long tirade on the vanity of hair straightening.
