Secrecy and tight security has shrouded yet another All Black wedding and this time the man of the moment is lock Ali Williams.
Williams tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Casey Green at a ceremony near Queenstown on Tuesday.
Wedding guests included All Black captain Richie McCaw, fellow All Blacks Jerome Kaino, Tony Woodcock, Isaia Toeava and Dan Carter, who was accompanied by his new wife Honor, former All Black coach Graham Henry and his wife Raewyn, and socialite Aja Rock.
The ceremony was held at Stoneridge Estate, a five-star luxury venue 15 minutes drive from Queenstown.
Security staff manned the main gates from mid-morning until later in the evening and those who were not invited guests were turned away.
One security guard said they had been instructed to keep an eye out for cameras and media and told to "confiscate camera memory cards" if photographs were taken, the Otago Daily Times reports.
Wedding guests seemed to keeping a low profile in Queenstown, which came as a disappointment to some.
Colin Russell, one of the owners of Queenstown's Flame Bar and Grill, said he was expecting a few All Black visitors, but no one had shown up.
Williams proposed to Green, a dance instructor, in April this year and the couple were spotted in Queenstown in July, not long before the All Blacks went into their World Cup training camp.
Williams is understood to have signed a deal with a woman's magazine to cover the wedding.
Earlier this month, Carter wedded former Blacks Sticks hockey player Honor Dillon in a ceremony in Marlborough similarly shrouded in secrecy which also featured in a woman's magazine.
