Casey Green terminated her Twitter account and dumped Facebook friends ahead of her wedding to All Black Ali Williams, fearing she was being stalked by one of Williams' ex-girlfriends.
Ms Green un-friended a large number of women on Facebook as she tried to keep details of her glitzy wedding ceremony secret, nzherald.co.nz reported.
Green married Williams in December in Queenstown and the couple had a deal with a magazine.
"The scarey fact is, rugby is about to finish for me and there's no point bringing babies into my life just yet," Williams told the NZ Woman's Weekly.
All Black captain Richie McCaw was a groomsmen, and World Cup-winning teammate Dan Carter attended with his new wife.
Green grew up near Hari Hari, 74km south of Hokitika on the West Coast of the South Island, according to a previous article in the magazine. The couple had been going out together for seven years.
