The All Whites have drawn one all with China in their friendly overnight with both goals coming courtesy of the New Zealanders.

Three players made their debut off the bench as coach Ricki Herbert looked to the future.

It was an All Whites side without the likes of Elliot, Bertos and Nelsen that took to the field in China.

And the young side went a goal down in just the second minute.

The own goal coming from the head of US based Andy Boyens.

And it was just luck that they didn't concede a second as the All Whites allowed the Chinese to run at them.

When the All Whites did manage to string some passes together they forced "the great wall" into last ditch defense.

Keeper Zeng Cheng's heroics saw him smashed by Chris Wood. Cheng was stretchered off and taken to hospital.

With just seconds left in the half and from 6 yards out the All Whites should've gone into the break on level terms.

But they came out with renewed purpose and it wasn't long before Michael McGlinchey had his first international goal.

The goal spurred the New Zealanders on to look for the winner and they had their fair share of chances.

The All Whites head home without a game confirmed for the next FIFA window in June but with vital experience for the three debutants.
