Amanda Millar hails from Dunedin where she began her career in newspapers. She now has more than 30 years of experience in journalism. Much of that has been in broadcasting, working for current affairs and information shows such as Fair Go, 20/20 and 60 Minutes.
Amanda also has experience as a documentary producer and director, and has owned a production company.
She was part of the start-up team at TV3 in 1989 as a freelance reporter/producer/ director. She became a reporter on what was then TV3’s 20/20 in 1998 and is currently a reporter/producer for 60 Minutes.
She has received numerous awards including Qantas Media Awards Interviewer of the Year, (seven years), the Supreme Award for Journalism in 2000 and Best Current Affairs Reporter in 2006
Amanda lives in Wellington with her husband and two teenage children.
