Let the little voices be heard. How is that those responsible can get away with this? It is sickening. Take courage Cheree, you will not falter, neither be hindered - "He lifts me up on hind's feet and does not let my foot slip". Angels are watching over you Cheree. Please tell us how we can help Cheree.

Does TV3 have a way of people making contact with Cheree. I applaud & admire her strength in taking this stand and believe that many throughout NZ will get behind and support her....but how do we do that with no contact, I have tried looking up for a Facebook page and can't find one....can TV3 please advise so that we may support Cheree - she is not alone in this fight against abuse of our precious babies and little people. NZ can unite on this issue.

Im here to support you in anyway I can. My son was a victim to child abuse from his uncle. My son was assulted in December & the police here emailed saying the guy would be arressted end of January, but the Wellington Child abuse team didnt care until I told them around April that I was taking it to the papers as they hadnt even seen or arrested the guy as my child, as they put it wasn't a priority as he was safe with me in PN & his attacker lived in Lower Hutt, what aload of crap & he only got 9mnths supervision cos he acted remorsful & got him frozen peas after he bashed him. No-one in that house got done for not seeking medical care for him as they left him wimpering on the couch for hours! Even let him go to sleep after been bashed around the head. Police in Wellington did a very disapointing job

Cheree, I'm a New Zealander living in New York. I saw your story on the internet and was so moved. I've been following the horrible cases of child abuse and deaths in NZ and have been wondering what is happening in our country that people are hurting and killing their own babies! I want to thank you for your courage and the way that you have taken a stand. I also admire the spirit in which you worked. You have been strong and gentle and brave and are a true warrior. You are a wonderful example of loving strength, which is what our children and communities need. I'd like to help support you. Can I contribute towards that hall rental or in any other way. Is there a way to get in touch? Best, Raewyn

regards the message below, the poor wee girl in the tumble dryer was Nia Glassey. I for one am sick of child abuse but NOT sick of storys about it, the more we talk about it the better. The charitable trust I direct (as featured in this clip) would be honoured to assist anyone who wishes to stand up and be brave like Cherie did.

Why have you not done a story on child abuse lately John? There have been 4 cases in the last two weeks, in which 1 child has died, all of the children have been under 2 years of age. Plus the cases before Christmas. These have only recieved very minor if any attention. Is it not a poplur topic at the moment? Are NZers sick of hearing about it already? They haven't recovered from the last story of the Kahui twins? Or the wee girl in the dyrer, sorry can't remmeber her name? It needs to keep being reported in the news and on current affairs programmes so everyone in NZ actually relise how wide spread the problem is. Not just these one off stories we hear about every couple of years.
