I first heard the news on Nightline when Joanne Paul announced that a man had killed six in the small seaside town. Shame the toll ended up much higher. I returned later the next day from a forestry course I started on to find the Police had shot Mr. Gray dead. Shame for his family, since he was unbalanced, and some people had not treated him right either. Trouble is, these people take it out on the innocent, not those who wronged them. A lesson from this is to treat everyone we meet the way we would like to be treated. I remember Aramoana from the furore over the smelter, and now I shall never forget it.
