Were those "best schools" set up against the wishes of the local community, by a minister who was out of his/her depth? Big is not necessarily good or bad, it all depends what, how, when, and why. If Parata had handled things well and sensitively from the start, the reaction may have been different, but she went about it in a way that caused battle lines to be drawn - absolutely typical of this govt.
