ANZ made a half-year profit of $478 million

The profit reporting season for the big four banks is underway, with ANZ New Zealand announcing its figure yesterday, and Westpac today.

ANZ made a half-year profit of $478 million, up 23 percent. It sounds a lot when you consider times are tough - so are the banks making too much money?
