Arrest after four shootings in Auckland

Auckland police say they have arrested a man allegedly going around shooting drug dealers in the city.
The 29-year-old unemployed Manurewa man was arrested in the south Auckland suburb following an armed raid by police early on Monday morning.
Police had been investigating four shooting incidents over the last six weeks in which three men needed hospital treatment.
They believed they were not random attacks against strangers, said Detective Senior Sergeant John Sutton.
"Rather, they appear to have been planned and those involved - either as victims or the alleged offender - are most likely participants in the illicit drug business."
No firearms were found when police raided two Manurewa houses on Monday morning, but police are still hunting for weapons and have not ruled out further arrests.
The 29-year-old is due to appear in Auckland District Court on Monday charged with firearm charges and one charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
