The 59-year-old father-of-six died as he tried to stop a brawl outside his Primrose Place home early on Saturday morning

Police say they have arrested four men following the death of South Auckland man Richard Tairua, who died of natural causes after a trying to stop a brawl.

The four Manurewa men, aged between 22 and 26, were arrested today and charged with aggravated robbery.

One had also been charged with assaulting Mr Tairua.

The 59-year-old father-of-six died as he tried to stop a brawl outside his Primrose Place home early on Saturday morning.

Police initially treated his death as suspicious but a post-mortem confirmed he died of natural causes.

The four men will appear in Manukau District Court tomorrow.
