The successful launch by New Zealanders of a space delivery vehicle deserves better from the media than, "New Zealand enters space race".

New Zealand's rocketmen are not in any race. At the moment they are the only Southern Hemisphere space launch team.

And soon they could be the only facility for delivery of small payloads into space from the Southern Hemisphere.

Any attempt to compare the work of our space pioneers with that of other countries is designed to belittling the accomplishment of some darn clever Kiwis.
