Having a hobby, enjoying an activity or socialising with friends are all things many people think about when joining a club.

Probably the last thing you'd think about is being excluded because of your gender.

But that’s what one male-only bowling club does in Auckland.

Anna Burns-Francis, a female, went to find out what why these males so exclusive – watch the video.

Also why not come down to the bowling club on a wednesday evening for Business House Bowls, over 50 per cent of competitors are female and they are all enjoying themselves.
