Auckland's buses will run as normal tomorrow following an amended contract offer to the city's bus drivers.

Most of the city's buses were set to stop running tomorrow after the bus company said it would lock out drivers in response to the bus drivers announcing a work-to-rule from tomorrow.

But Infratil-owned New Zealand Bus representatives and the four unions said they would abandon their planned actions tomorrow so an amended offer could be put before drivers on Friday.
