Just as you find the act of receiving a kiss from a partner. Here are 2 points to consider. Not 1 person of whom thinks like this and knows its wrong has ever in the criminal justice system ever handed themselves in for treatment before they commit the act. These videos are never played to a jury.

A small fact that has possibly been overlooked is that Rob nearly missed facing a jail term had he not shown some remorse in the court room. I think this small fact speaks volumes on what has actually happened here, in other words, there are facts that we do not know here that could have downgraded the crime to home detention. That would seem to be an unusual punishment for someone that was a distributer of this type of material? Also, think about this (those of us that have 1TB hard drives of movies) can you categorically say that you know what each and every movie is on that hard drive? I know some of the folders I have shared peer-to-peer I have never even opened, not saying that there is unlawful material in them but it is easy to lose some videos in the depths of other folders.....I could be totally worng and out of line but could this be why he nearly recieved home d instead of jail?

Less ignorance in posts would help, he got a solid jail term for giving away some of the worst movies ever, if it was going to be a longer term it would be for committing the crime in the video. People get 7 years for murder, thinking that 1 year for this is a short sentence is silly.
