Police are continuing to search for a 65-year-old Auckland man missing since Friday.
Garrick Protheroe, from the Waitakere suburb Te Atatu South, was last seen about 2.30pm, when he borrowed a friend's car to go to an appointment.
He was still missing on Sunday morning, Sergeant Grant Watson told NZ Newswire.
Mr Protheroe has had health issues and police were concerned for his safety.
"He's just vanished with no indication of where he's gone," Sgt Watson said.
He urged anyone who saw Mr Protheroe or the car to call police.
Mr Protheroe is described as a solid Caucasian, about 1.8m tall, with brown hair, brown eyes and a moustache.
He was driving a silver Nissan Super Salo, registration CZF539.
Police have described his disappearance as "very out of character".
