Auckland taxi driver attacked and robbed

3News NZ

A taxi driver has been attacked and robbed in Auckland.

Police were called to Judges Bay Road in Parnell at around six this morning.

Northern Communications Shift Commander Kerry Watson says officers were quickly able to catch up with those thought to be responsible with the use of tracking dogs.

“The taxi driver was assaulted and robbed of a quantity of money, and the dog handler tracked [the assailants], and [police] are speaking to four people.”
