Firstly, all bus HOP (Snapper HOP) card users are eligible for a free AT HOP card. You can apply at www.athopsignup.co.nz

Secondly you don't NEED to buy the card. You can still purchase a paper ticket from ticket machines at the train station. But I've learned over the last few weeks that people don't like change... and all I can say is.. tough, walk then. lol

Theres good money to be made with charging for these cards. Im sick of having to carry cards for just about everything.
Get your money back for the old one or keep it as a collectable.

@Brad.The existing HOP/Snapper cards are for use on NZ Bus services only.
The much publicised issues with Snapper has seen those cards no longer acceptable/readable. Hence the need for a new card, known as AT/HOP for trains and ferries. From Monday they will be on sale for $5.

Why are we being made to pay AGAIN for another card when it was them who screwed up the system in the first place?
