In australia it's absolutely ridiculous the type of girls that get accepted for modelling academy's either their parents are rich or they starve themselves to get so thin. it's almost as though the perfect size is 8 or under, but honestly i'd prefer to wear clothes modelled by a girl realistic looking that scrawny and sickly looking. Is this really what the industry is trying to convince us? that looking fake and plastic is "hot" "sexy" and "cool"? i have a 9 year old foster sister who barely eats because her friends call her fat, she's not obese or anything but it goes to show the impact that the "skinny" norm is having on our future.
