If this is a democracy, why doesn't John Key listen to the majority of people concerning ACC? Thanks John for making our minds up to leave NZ for Aussie. Can't wait for the next elections to see you get voted OUT!!!!!! STOP GIVING TO THE MINORITY BY TAKING FROM THE MAJORITY. We put you there, we can take you out again.

The ACC has put lines of difference between cars and bikes, but the real line of difference is between drunk and sober, and speeding or not speeding. The ACC should target THESE groups first (for both cars and bikes) to really cut down on the injury payouts.

Rather have increased ACC levies for peopel with speeding/DUI/drug offfences. And reduce vehicle loss-of-control injuries with compulsory attendance at advanced riding seminars. Charging us bikers for paying for our own injuries inflicted by others is bolting the stable door after the horse has bolted. Typical lazy beaurocratic unimaginative thinking.

The clip says you will proved the details of the numbers ACC are using. Can you tell us where they are, because all the publicly available figures are different to those being quoted by ACC. Also, Price 106,454 bikes off the road and put bikers back in cars, is this the Clean Green image Newzealand want the world to see.

The only rate motorcycles should pay is the same as cars. Why would it be any different ? Smaller vehicles are always going to fare worse in a crash - thats no reason to chrage them more. Plus, the Hurt report showed only 33% of collisions are the fault of the motorcyclist - thats no reason to charge them more. EQUAL IS FAIR.

The devil is in the detail; If a Car, even a Police Car, does a U turn in front of a motorcycle and causes massive injury to the motorcyclist, is that a car 'accident' or a motorcycle accident?

The hike in ACC for motorcycles has been obvious to most observers for some years. You only have to compare car insurance rates against m/cycle rates to get an idea of the risk difference. I wont let the fee hike spoil my motorcycling, I'll ditch Sky TV to make the saving.
