My heart goes out to this Mum and her daughter. However did I miss the test result that proved it was genetic and not brought about by the many environmental factors that are thought/known to influence early puberty? Because the doctor seemed really sure! how can he be?

I feel for this child whom has been given the opportunity to slow down the precocious puberty disorder porcess. Having gone through the exact same problems myself as a child, it is unfortunate the disorder and treatment procedure was not acknowledged, as I am sure my parents would have opted for such treatment for myself. I had always felt alone and looked out of place my entire primary years, teachers treated me weird as if I was a freak because my mother had informed them I had started menstruating. 5yrs old and having to conceal the extremely large and bulky pads was hidious and I dreaded going to school because my peers knew I was different. I was a freak who concealed pads and had to wear a trainee bra by the age of 6yrs. As for exceeding 4-5ft, I stand at a confortable 5foot7inches. Its good to finally have a label.

Medicine called Depoprevera caused my 15 yr after 5 yrs to have irregular pap smears and eventually almost-fatal liver failure. Her cycles were incapacitating. Her bigger sister had years of head-eye migraines... I do hope this child does well! Blessings
