An alleged drunk driver smashed into the front bedroom of a Hamilton home - where a baby was sleeping.
The Isuzu Bighorn brought down powerlines and trapped the driver in the wreck.
Police arrested the 41-year-old once he was freed and was found to be more than twice over the legal drink drive limit.
Thankfully the 4WD hit the base of the house - stopping it from crashing through the room and hitting the young child.
