The baby boy of young woman, who died at Waikato Hospital after giving birth, has also died.
Casey Missy Turama Nathan, 20, from Ngaruawahia, gave birth to her first child at Huntly Birthcare but due to complications during the birth she was taken to Waikato Hospital where she died on Monday night.
Ms Nathan's son was in a critical condition at Waikato Hospital, but he died this evening.
Police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of Ms Nathan's death.
