Baby on mend after Vietnam fall

A baby boy is on the mend after being critically injured in a fall in Vietnam which killed his New Zealand grandmother.
Julie Ferne suffered fatal head injuries after falling down a staircase while holding grandson Carter Preston - who was born last week - in Ho Chi Minh City last Friday.
Carter suffered bleeding on the brain and is in a critical condition in Ho Chi Minh Children's Hospital.
However, Carter's father, Phil, says his son is showing positive signs.
"There's been no change since yesterday, so we're taking it as a plateau before he has another leap in the right direction," he told the New Zealand Herald.
Ms Ferne's body is due to be flown back to New Zealand on Friday morning.
Mr Preston's brother, Sean, says the family have been overwhelmed by support from New Zealanders who have donated to a charity set up in his mother's name.
More than $7500 has been donated so far. All of the money will go to the Ho Chi Minh Children's Hospital to buy much needed equipment.
"From all the tragedy and the sorrow of the last few days when I clicked open the bank account to see how it was tracking it really choked me up seeing the support from all over New Zealand," Sean Preston told New Zealand Herald.
