Blenheim Mongrel Mob member Tony Taurima was again remanded on bail when he appeared in Blenheim District Court today for a status hearing.

He faces charges resulting from a violent clash with police at his home at Labour Weekend.

The case made national headlines when Taurima claimed that Blenheim police, who used pepper spray when he and two other adults were arrested, had also pepper sprayed his five children.

The children were aged between 13 months and 13 years at the time of the incident, which happened when police arrived after an assault report.

Taurima said the children were left screaming in pain and without medical help for over an hour.

He is accused of threatening to kill a police officer and faces four other charges, two of assaulting police and two of resisting arrest.
