Parliament had a visitor today - Kim Dotcom.

John Banks made himself scarce but the questions kept coming about why he declared Dotcom's mayoral campaign donations as"anonymous", and why Prime Minister John Key won't sack him as a minister.

“I'm just here to take a look at Parliament,” said Dotcom, but of course it was all about being seen himself - and to see his old mate Mr Banks.

The visit was Dotcom's way of saying, "excuse Me, Mr Prime Minister", but Mr Key wasn’t so keen to meet up with the Megaupload founder.

And while Mr Banks got up close and personal with the media yesterday, he didn't want to run into Dotcom today, saying he had other commitments to attend to.

Mr Banks left Mr Key to take the heat in the House as Dotcom watched on from the public gallery above.

After 21 minutes of debate about why Mr Banks couldn't remember Dotcom's donation and why he hasn't been sacked as a minister, the Prime Minister left in a hurry, but Dotcom was keen to stop and talk.

“It’s a very fragile majority - the balance of power is threatened by this whole John Banks affair so I think the Prime Minister has had to make a choice: 'Am I going to uphold high ethical standards or do I want to remain in power?'” says Dotcom.

Dotcom went public after Mr Banks refused to help him get a mattress for his prison cell.

“This has nothing to do with a mattress. I was in jail with two slipped discs and severe back pain and no one did any thing about it,” says Dotcom.

Dotcom's trip to Parliament was certainly one few will forget.

Unreal how people now support Dotcom. He has had his fair share of "shady deals" and is still facing criminal charges. He openly admits that he gave the donation with the intent of "future favors". Then when John Banks does not get him a special mattress in jail, he turns on him and the public are too quick to support this person with a very questionable past! Our Prime minister is taken out about being rich, but he worked for his wealth and no shady deals that could see him prosecuted. Dotcom's wealth is from heaps of questionable deals that has seen him in and out of courts all over the world defending himself. Sad world we live in.

He addressed the Court as one who “fell down the rabbit hole of the New Zealand Courts” where, he claimed, reality mattered little. To get to the page mentioned in my previous comment add /def.aspx or search '3news 82713 wonderland' (without quotes) at Google. For today to find exception to the Mad Hatter's Tea Party discovered by Vince, Megaupload director's should be deemed to be not facing extradition offences at all by simple follow on from Judge Harvey stating that the prosecution are relying on civil context of NZ copyright law to claim criminal liability. These may not be things that Key or Banks want to put their minds to but, none-the-less I think if Banksie had been Minister of Police it was unlikely they would have been running around with helicopters and guns either at Coatesville or in the Ureweras

Key should fire Banks and replace him with Dotcom. communications portfolio would be a good start. half this country still cant get broadband. while impitus is being put into the fibre optic cable, still nothing is being done about rural dial up. fibre is only for the cities. rural people are forgotten again.

'Am I going to uphold high ethical standards or do I want to remain in power?'” That really says it all about John key and his double standards.... remember when he first got in and promised to make sure the highest standards were maintained... Apparently that was all garbage... pretty much like everything John key has said since taking power.
