Bathurst 1000: Race start times

3News NZ

The Bathurst 1000 gets underway this Sunday with 11 Kiwi drivers competing in the 50th anniversary of the event dubbed ‘The Great Race’.

Motorsport fans can tune into TV3 from 10am for high definition coverage of all the action from the Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit.

To mark the race’s 50th anniversary, many of the drivers will be sporting special livery.

Kiwi driver Shane van Gisbergen goes into Bathurst at fifth in the Championship, riding high off a solid performance at Sandown last month.

TV3’s coverage of the build-up includes highlights from the Top Ten Shoot-out, and 50th Anniversary celebrations. The 161-lap classic starts at 12.30pm.

So here we are watching Bathurst again and once more I see TV3 plan to cut away to the news at 6 tonite. Yet again! What is wrong with you people? On behalf of motor racing fans everywhere either stop doing this or transfer coverage to C4. Or give up the coverage rights and let SKY do the job properly.
