The first expansion pack for Battlefield 3 will be released on December 7 for Playstation players and a week later – on the 14th – for PC and Xbox 360 gamers.
The Back to Karkand pack includes four new maps and a range of new weapons and vehicles.
It also features the return of the ‘Conquest Assault’ multiplayer mode, which sees one team control all the objective points on a map while the attacking team tries to wrestle control away.
The expansion pack is free for all gamers who pre-ordered their copy of the game, or NZ$31 from the Playstation Store or Xbox Live Marketplace on release. It will also be available for 1200 Microsoft points on 360.
In all, the Back to Karkand pack will give gamers 10 new weapons, four new maps, three new vehicles, five new dogtags and five new achievements/trophies.
