David Beckham asked his rival soccer team for a signed shirt because son Brooklyn is such a “big fan”.
The soccer ace’s 12-year-old son is an avid supporter of the sport and cites Manchester City as one of his favourite teams.
Despite David’s legendary status at City’s rival club Manchester United, the father-of-four agreed to speak to the team’s star Mario Balotelli in order to get a signed shirt for his eldest son.
"Brooklyn has an impressive collection of kits from some of the world's top players. He's a big fan of Balotelli and really wanted a signed shirt,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.
"Despite City being United's rivals, Becks didn't mind as he's also a big admirer of Balotelli."
David has two other sons with wife Victoria - Romeo, nine, and six-year-old Cruz.
The couple also welcomed daughter Harper into the world in July last year.
