Bee Gees brothers Barry and Robin Gibb are heading into the studio to record a new album together later this year.
The pair reteamed for several public appearances in 2009 and 2010, prior to Robin's cancer diagnosis last year.
He has spent 12 months battling liver and colon cancer but was informed by doctors last month that the disease is in remission - and he has marked the good news by announcing his plans to lay down new tracks with his brother.
The pair is also planning to revisit the ‘Stayin' Alive’ hitmakers' back catalogue, but Robin has not revealed any further details of the project.
He tells the Daily Mail, "We intend to record again and also work with the Bee Gees catalogue as well. We want to make an album. That will be close to the end of the year."
