Ben Affleck in talks to direct Justice League
Fri, 10 Aug 2012 12:10p.m.
Actor-turned-filmmaker Ben Affleck is set to begin talks with Warner Bros executives to direct the long-awaited Justice League movie.
Reports suggest the Daredevil star has emerged as the favourite to take the DC Comics franchise to the big screen after Christopher Nolan insisted he was done with Batman following this summer's release of The Dark Knight Rises, the final installment in his trilogy about the Caped Crusader.
Will Beall wrote the script for the superhero project, which brings together Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash in the same way box office blockbuster The Avengers saw the stars of the rival Marvel franchise unite to save the world.
Justice League is expected to reach cinemas by 2015, reports industry paper Daily Variety.
