Bikers gatecrash National cocktail party

Wellington motorbike owners took the opportunity to give the National Party a rev up again this evening over the proposed hikes to ACC levies.

National supporters attending the annual Ohariu electorate cocktail party were not expecting the protest.

Brent Hutchison, protest organiser, says the issue though isn't just about motorcyclists, as the increases will affect all New Zealanders.

"The more that we examine the statistics, the numbers, the more we see Nick Smith blatantly lying to us, then the more obvious it is that ACC is being prepared for private sale, and New Zealanad is going to lose the greatest asset that we have and that's protection of our workforce," he says.

The levy proposals are currently before Cabinet.

As far as the bikers go i`m with them 100%, and being a biker with 38yrs of riding, the only problems i`ve ever had is a result of negligent car drivers.

Its not just about the levies some nz ers ,accident victims have already had there rights to acc compensation ,wages, stolen. More then 30.000 forced onto invalids benifits already. So the mps could launder there compensation to all in sundry.when these scum and scum just like them made changes to acc ,year upon year upon year. Yes the victim has had there rights stolen the there rights to compensation stolen , there rights to the wages stolen, minimized , and there levies . put up and up. while the protection the guilty get ,, is for life. and costs them nothing. Its time all had to pay in equally to acc .. all whom get cover.as at the moment only a small group pay in to cover the rest. the levies would be way cheaper if all that hav and get cover were paying in.its simple really do the right thing scum.or get out of parliment if ya dont know wat the right thing is.
