Mel Gibson's girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva gave birth to a baby daughter called [Lucia] in Los Angeles on Friday, the actor's representative has confirmed.
Reports suggesting Lucia, who was due in December, had arrived on Friday surfaced over the weekend.
Gibson's spokesperson Alan Nierob says, "Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed the arrival of a baby girl named Lucia on Friday at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles."
Lucia is Gibson's eight child - he has six sons and a daughter with ex-wife Robyn,
Grigorieva, 39, also has a son, Alexander, with her former boyfriend, actor Timothy Dalton.
