Bishop Brian Tamaki defends Destiny Church on RadioLIVE - Audio

i do believe much in christianty but i do believe if ur gona worship someone, shouldnt it be god? the whole reason why u are a christian in the first place? you say ur open and u no what ur doing but at the end of the day ur just mindless lil followers listin to a fool. oh 1 question why does everyone sound like the got as poetic as possilbe whenever they write shit on this page??

So long as there are needy, gullible people in the world, there will always be wolves in sheeps' clothing. Brain & Hannah are no exception - the wolf and his wife - mere mortals with egos the size of Africa and an unquenchable thirst for money and assets. I have no respect for a man (and his wife) who milk their congregation to continually better their own lifestyle, all in the name of God. I have heard someone define Tamaki as a 'charismatic' person - i prefer to liken him to an Elvis impersonator preaching the word of the almighty wallet. Nothing charismatic about him at all! There was nothing much else on tv one day, so I stumbled upon one of his sermons. In my opinion, he SUCKS at speaking to an audience and dresses like someone hiding a lot of flaws - long black coats and way too much hair dye! But what really gets me is that to this day and after all the negative (but factual) publicity, people continue to be duped by him and his (and I use the term loosely) church. I have sat in on one of his 'sessions' at the Auckland branch of destiny church and I was just shocked. You walk in and you see a counter. On it are EFTPOS machines, credit card machines and a sign saying "we accept cash, credit card or cheques." In a church, wouldn't you expect something like "welcome to God's house"? There are also men in black suits walking around like security guards - who are they protecting??? Don't they have faith that God will protect his flock??? I may not be a menber of destiny or any other church but if I were to join one, it most certainly wouldn't be that one. God bless the humble, the loving and the giving people of this world for THEY shall inherit the earth. Amen.

hi im starting to feel that alot of racism is being directed at brian and destiny church,we see maori people shineing and growing and changeing and we become afraid were are loseing the old typical stereotype language weve been acustomed to with maori and pacific island people,we dont really want maori to achieve and have plans and money to build better community,maori has worse health care in nz,why? poverty and genocide tactics to destroy a people group thats why,if brian was a white middle class preacher in a small parish would he be so critiscised hardly,wake up nz we are racist and maori have had enough ,brians a good leader for maori and non maori hes a good leader for lords people,blessings wendy.

Has anyone taken notice of the grand Church building and it's multi million dollar facilities? My 10% is a worthwhile investment and my children benefit from my decisions that teach them Gods ways as opposed to my tendency toward selfish ways. After 15 years planted I still continue to allow my damaged perceptions to be confronted and my emotional stability and mental fortitude grows daily, I will leave behind me a legacy of blessing for my 4 children and my grandchildren to come - Successfully turning the tumultuous emotional suffering in the tide of violence, abuse and addictions that my forefathers opted for. To you who call me as a destiny church person mindless! I follow the Bishop and his wife with my eyes wide open, The house of destiny will stand because its foundation is built on the rock of Christ. And we are next generation minded.

I shake my head in disbelief at what is happening in the Destiny Church. I have a member of my family that has been a member for many years in the Destiny Church and every time we visit we always hear the same sales message of how wonderful the church is and of adoration of the Bishop. The foundational beliefs are the same as The Gospel message it is difficult to hear anything wrong with the preached messages which makes it very hard for people to discern that something is wrong. And with the good they do in society it is difficult for people to see anything wrong.
Alarm bells should ring though when we see that the flock are given a set of rules by the church to obide by and give their heart and adoration to a mere man. There is a difference between honoring someones position and worshiping someones position. Yes Brian pretends to be humble by saying he didnt want to be a Bishop and its the people that wanted him to. As a very strong personality like Brians I find it difficult to believe that he has not got the guts to say no to his people, you have gone too far in honoring me and uses this as a excuse. Its obvious he laps up all the attention. I often wonder what God must think about all this nonsense.
God uses all things for the good to those that love him and so I encourage all our fellow Christians to pray for Brian and his church to have their eyes opened and humbled to repentance. May this cause the Body of Christ to rise up in prayer and make assault on these demons that are deceiving Gods people.

I challenge any Destiny Church member to look hard at what is happening: Tithing is enforced throgh manipulation of the bible, 1st fruits were to feed the Levites as they had no land, not to enrich your pastor, look at how you are brainwashed to believe that Tamaki is the chosen one. I and my family are ex Destiny people, there is nothing positive you can say to us about the Church. A good man of God who has been corrupted by his own importance. Tamaki started off so well with a great vision for New Zealand, but now he is a god who is leading his people into idoltry. I hope that the Holy Spirit will open all the members of Destiny Church to see that they are on a slippery slope to hell.

I wish I had known that BT was taking calls from the public today live on radio. Had I got through, I would have asked him how many false prophecies it takes to make someone a false prophet. And what happened to his 2003 declaration that Destiny would be running most of the important things in the country within five years? I have spoken to a few Destiny members over the years, and they generally all suffer from the same affliction - pride. They have swallowed everything this cult has said, hook, line and sinker; accepting Tamaki's interpretation of Scripture without checking it out like the faithful Bereans. They have gone so far down this line that their pride cannot let them question themselves and ask if they might have got it wrong. They flock to see people like Benny Hinn and Joyce Myer - other serious fleecers of the flock. Tamaki has created the perfect marriage of Maori culture and gullible "believers" who don't know their Bible. This ensures he will live in the lap of luxury for the rest of his life - even if all the giving stoppped right now. And I would hazard a guess that even if Brian was found to have stepped way out of line, their tradition would dictate that they would still "look after" their "chief". Brian, you are a charlatan and a fraudster, and all your good works (of which admittedly there has been much) will mean nothing when you stand before God. You have certainly been taught well by your cohorts in the States. They say there's a sucker born every minute; I would say that there's one "born again" every minute. Wake up, Destiny people! Read your Bibles! Check your Bishop out! He truly is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Please don't leave it until it's too late.

Brian quotes Malakai to justify getting a tithe from the people of Destiny Church but the people of Destiny Church are too stupid to look for themselves, if they did they would find that prior to the one Brian is always quoting states the "Lord" is talking to the priests, not the people, if Destiny Church people really read their bibles they would find it is Brian who will not be going to their wonder heaven. Isn't it time that TV3 dug into their archives and got the real story on Brian Tamaki, the stuff that didn't make it to the screen in the Inside NZ documentry made in 2007 but not aired until last year. I know of a few people who were interviewed for it but what they had to say didn't make it to air for some reason. One person interviewed was his former accountant, she had a lot more to say than what went to air.
