The Black Caps selectors have once again rung the changes for tomorrow's one day match against Pakistan in Napier.

Daniel Vettori will resume the captaincy, while Jesse Ryder returns from domestic cricket after calling his match for Wellington a "waste of time" on Twitter.

With only three matches left in the series to tinker before the World Cup, the selectors have once again played the rotation game.

"It's tough," says Vettori. "All these guys want to do is play, they want to play every game, they want to force their case to be in the team, they want to play that opening game at the World Cup. So when they're not in the 11, it's difficult to force your case."

Ryder's back to open the innings after being forced to play a one dayer for Wellington. He was run out for just four runs, and made his frustrations clear on Twitter.

Several Black Caps have started using the social networking site, Scott Styris defending Ryder's tweets with some of his own.

But the returning skipper believes some common sense is getting lost in cyberspace.

"I'm not as much of a narcissist as Scotty, so I can't get on it," says Vettori. "They can do what they want, they're all grown men."

The McLean Park pitch is expected to be a batsman's paradise, so Nathan McCullum's off-spinners should prove handy in backing up Vettori's as they attempt to restrict the hard-hitting tourists.

And expect more changes for the fifth match in Hamilton on Thursday, with Kyle Mills, Luke Woodcock and James Franklin due to be released back to their domestic sides after tomorrow's game.

I'm loving the way that only selected texts got published - Where's the one where Jesse says "yup I am talking to him s*** happens I guess" In reference to Murdoch? Oh, wait, that makes it much less of an issue. Slow news day, we has it.

Seriously, did nothing else happen in the country today? This story is so un-newsworthy, it's not funny! Were any of these journalists actually AT the Firebirds match at the Basin Reserve yesterday and could get a first-hand account from Jesse Ryder himself? or are they just going off second-hand gossip?! Sounds like lazy journalism to me - very disappointed!
