The Black Sticks slumped to their second loss in the Champions Trophy men's hockey tournament, beaten 4-2 by India in their pool match in Melbourne on Sunday.

The Black Sticks lost their opening match 3-2 to Germany on Saturday, fighting back with goals to Matt L'Hullier and Nick Wilson after the Olympic champions led 3-0 at halftime.

The sixth-ranked New Zealanders meet world No.4 England, who battered Germany 4-1 earlier on Sunday, in their final pool match on Tuesday.

Ranked 11th in the world, India is the only team with two wins from pool play, after downing England 3-1 on Saturday.
