Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner has landed in Auckland, on its second visit to New Zealand since its unveiling.
The Dreamliner will also stop in Christchurch, on the final leg of Boeing’s global DreamTour series of promotional flights.
AirNZ’s first Dreamliner is expected to take to the skies at the end of 2014, with nine more to follow in its fleet.
The aircraft is constructed from 50 percent composite materials and uses 20 percent less fuel than other, similarly-sized aircraft. Boeing claims its noise footprint is also 60 percent lower.
