Boobquake Day

Boobquake Day

Female immodesty is killing thousands of innocent people.

Not directly, but indirectly by causing earthquakes, according to Tehran's acting Friday prayer leader.

“Many women who do not dress modestly… lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society which, [consequently], increases earthquakes,” Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi was quoted as saying in Iranian media.

“What can we do to avoid being buried under the rubble?” Mr Sedighi said during a Friday prayer sermon.

“There is no other solution but to take refuge in religion and to adapt our lives to Islam’s moral codes.”

But that point of view doesn’t sit well with Blag Hag blogger Jen McCreight.

The student from Indiana has launched a Facebook campaign against Mr Sedighi's comments, asking women across the world to wear their most revealing outfits to test the cleric’s theories.

The campaign is called Boobquake – and today is Boobquake Day.

What do you think about Boobquake? Are you insulted by the Iranian cleric's comments or do you find them amusing?

Will you/are you taking part in Boobquake?

Western Society uses women as sex symbols and sex objects to sell magazines, movies, products, music etc. Our society is rife with prostitution, strip joints and blue movies. Women are assaulted, raped and killed. Who are we to judge the Moslems if they want to keep their society moral.?????

The photo, the headline, and the description make absolutely no sense. I guess this is one of those "Had to be there" articles? Anyone else got no idea what this story's about?

What is up with Campbell Live advertising "an exclusive" interview with the Feelers talking about the World Cup song "for the first time" when TVNZ had them on about two weeks ago. Lame!

Seems ironic that the worst of the earthquake deaths most often seem to occur in regions where modesty is forced on the population, doesn't it?
