Sir Bob Jones has called last night’s boxing match between Sonny Boy Williams and Clarence Tillman III a “joke from the start”.
The fight, for the New Zealand Professional Boxing Association heavyweight title, had barely begun before Williams won the bout by TKO inside the first round.
Sir Bob Jones criticised the media attention the fight attracted and called Tillman a “joke opponent”.
Williams win gives him a record of five wins from five fights, leaving him undefeated.
He will now focus on the Super Rugby season with chiefs and will return to training Monday.
