A boy who sustained neck injuries whilst snowboarding at Mt Hutt ski field was flown to hospital yesterday afternoon.

The 10-year-old was treated by Mt Hutt ski patrol, Mt Hutt medical staff and St John/Westpac Rescue intensive care paramedics at the scene before being ferried to Christchurch Public Hospital by the Westpac rescue helicopter around 1:30pm.

He is in a stable condition with moderate injuries.
